**SGT. JASON SCOTT STICKELS** -22 yr. (VSO) veteran purchased multiple properties valued at $2.1 million, under his known alias **“Jason Stickles.”** While repeatedly denying citizens the right to file police reports, because Stickels was contracted to instruct subordinates to instigate the crimes being reported.

According to allegations documented in federal court filings, Jason Stickels was repeatedly identified as a supervisory figure in a broader pattern of constitutional misconduct. Stickel’s participated in the disputed October 13, 2021 arrest following an encounter initiated by an unmarked vehicle; later refused to permit police reports concerning identity theft, substantial credit-card fraud, threats, and a stolen motorcycle; and was further connected to deputies involved in the April 6, 2023 entry onto the plaintiff’s property and arrest. These allegations formed part of federal civil-rights claims asserting violations of Fourth and Fourteenth Amendment protections under 42 U.S.C. § 1983

According to federal filings, Sheriff Mike Chitwood was repeatedly placed on notice of alleged financial misconduct connected to the Volusia Clerk’s Office and its collection practices through nearly 20 unanswered emails and five Internal Affairs complaints submitted between November 8, 2022, and February 23, 2023—including documentation concerning multiple alleged fraud victims. On February 20, 2023, while Mr. Macker was at Internal Affairs seeking accountability during a period when he believed his life was under threat, Chitwood confronted him outside of Sheriff’s office, looked directly at Mr. Macker and demanded, “What are you doing here?” in what Macker perceived as a deliberate act of intimidation. The timing, his apparent recognition of Macker, and the continued failure to meaningfully address the documented allegations raise deeply troubling questions about his knowledge of—and possible connection to—the broader pattern of financial misconduct and constitutional violations described within Federal Filings.

On May 2, 2025, during Federal Depositions, **SHERIFF MIKE CHITWOOD** fiercely and repeatedly defended Jason Stickels who has recently been charged with battering the elderly. Mr. Chitwood also suffers from prolonged Cocaine addiction.
